This wooden press is a vintage piece from Turkey. Originally used for pressing olives into oil or grapes into wine, this item carries with it a piece of history. As it was once a heavily used item, the press is worn in a way that is consistent with its age and use. Additionally, because the trough is made from organic materials, there is a degree of weathering to it. However, the wear to this press only adds to this charm. Today, the press would make for a great, rustic decorative piece in the home, or it could be used in the garden as a planter.
