1920s TEKKE KILIM BAG FACE FROM TURKMENISTAN
This small antique textile is a traditional tribal piece from Turkmenistan circa 1920. Expertly hand-knotted and true to traditional Tekke design style with its geometric motifs and vivid maroon color, this piece is simply gorgeous. While this piece was originally woven to be the face of a storage bag, it has since been dismantled and can act as a small rug or decorative wall hanging today.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary.
