CR8272 ANTIQUE 1800s TURKOMAN ERSARI RUG 1' X 2'
EARLY-1800s SMALL ERSARI TRIBAL RUG FROM TURKMENISTAN
This antique rug is a hand-knotted carpet from Turkmenistan. Made by the Ersari tribe known for its distinctive rugs, this piece is one of excellent craftsmanship. The very fine, hand-spun wool used for this piece makes for a rug pile that is soft and velvety in appearance. Made in the 1800s, the color has held, and is sure to remain, steadfast. As this piece is over two-hundred years old, there are some clear signs of age; however, the wear serves to create an aesthetic of bygone beauty that makes the piece even more special.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary.
