CR8579 ANTIQUE TURKISH TASPINAR RUG 3'7" X 5'8"
ANTIQUE TRADITIONAL TASPINAR STYLE RUG FROM TURKEY
This rug is a antique piece from the small village of Taspinar in central Turkey. Located near to Konya, a province known for its rug production, the village has incorporated many weaving patterns and designs from the aforementioned city into its own creations–while still diverging to establish its own distinct style. Taspinar rugs are known for their intricate geometric and floral motifs, central medallions, rich colors derived from natural dyes and use of wool sourced local to the village. This rug is both visually appealing and rich in cultural significance, making for a piece that is simply beautiful.
For pricing on this rare piece, please reach out to our team at sales.nomadic@gmail.com.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary. For more information regarding purchase of this rug and similar pieces, please reach out at sales.nomadic@gmail.com.
