SH254 NEARLY-ANTIQUE 1930s AFGHAN BALUCH RUG 3'8" X 6'11"
1930s BALUCH RUG FROM AFGHANISTAN
This rug is an antique piece from the Baluch tribal and nomadic group of Afghanistan. Known for their intricate borders, geometric motifs and use of rich, dark color, Baluch rugs are exquite in their craftsmanship, and this piece is no exception. This piece has developed a stunning patina over the years; one of the natural dyes have worn faster than others, creating a unique three-dimensional aspect to the surface of the pile.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary. For more information regarding purchase of this rug and similar pieces, please reach out at sales.nomadic@gmail.com.
