CR8275 ANTIQUE PERSIAN KARAJA RUNNER DATED 1917 3'5" X 16'1"
COLLECTIBLE ANTIQUE KARAJA RUNNER FROM NORTHWESTERN IRAN DATED 1917
This gorgeous rug made in 1917 is a Persian Karaja runner from the weaving village of Qarajeh in Iran. Pieces from Qarajeh are prized for their excellent craftsmanship, stunning design and use of color, and this piece is a testament to that fact. Handwoven from naturally dyed wool, this piece is adorned with distinctive designs, and is exceptionally durable, yet flexible. Though this piece is over a century old, it is in excellent condition and will remain steadfast for years to come.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary. For more information regarding purchase of this rug and similar pieces, please reach out at sales.nomadic@gmail.com.
