This low-profile, Spanish pay table is a vintage piece. This piece is especially unique, as it was once used as a pay table. Below the table top is a compartment that can be opened by sliding the top horizontally along the tracks of the base. Further below, there is a drawer that is accessible from either end of the table. In the past, the hidden compartment would be used for storage, and the double sided drawer for facilitating a discrete changing of hands of money in public. Today, this piece would work well as a coffee table, and the compartment and drawer are perfect for storage in living spaces. Though the wear of the table is consistent with its age and use, it is in great condition. Overall, the appearance of the table makes for a piece with classic rustic, farmhouse aesthetic.
