1940s RUG FROM MALAYER REGION, IRAN
This rug is a vintage, highly sought-after, hand-knotted piece from the Malayer Region of Iran. Malayer rugs are recognized for their use of high-quality, durable wool and spontaneous designs with influences from tribes, nomadic groups, and larger rug-production cities. With most Malayers woven in deep, rich color, this piece is very unique with its more subdued color palette. This carpet is in excellent condition and is sure to last for years to come.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is a vintage, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary. For more information regarding purchase of this rug and similar pieces, please reach out at sales.nomadic@gmail.com.
