This rug is a vintage piece from Gordes, Turkey circa 1950. Woven entirely by hand with hand-spun wool, this is a durable and sturdy piece that has lasted for over a century. Gordes rugs have been produced for generations upon generations, and are one of the first styles of Turkish rugs to be exported across the world. Known for their use of color, along with their geometric and floral motifs, these rugs are of supreme cultural and historical significance. 

Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.

As this is an antique, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary.
