1980s PERSIAN RUG FROM SHIRAZ, IRAN
This rug is a vintage piece from 1970s Iran. Specifically, this piece was created in the city of Shiraz, an area known for its rug production with design influences from settled tribal weavers. Shiraz pieces are an amalgamation of the different methods, motifs, patterns and design elements that originated from varying tribes. In effect, this merging allows Shiraz piece to stand alone as their own distinctive design style.
Because of the size of our inventory, we are unable to keep rugs open and on display in store. Please note that slight shadows or differences in color may be shown in photographs due to how rugs are folded for storage. Any creases will surely fall out once the rug has been brushed and left open for a bit of time. We apologize for any inconsistency in appearance online.
As this is a vintage, hand-woven rug, there may be some signs of age and use. Though we believe this wear only contributes to the character and uniqueness of each piece, the Nomadic Trading team will work to repair items when necessary.
